The assignment

Make the difficult thing feel obvious.

01

Challenge

Meal planning has a deceptively large input space. The experience had to capture real preferences without becoming a long form or producing generic, impractical output.

02

Key decision

Translate a small set of human-friendly choices into structured AI context, then return the plan, shopping needs, and nutrition guidance as one coherent workflow.

03

Outcome

A useful consumer experience that turns a vague intention—eat better this week—into a concrete plan someone can act on.

System view

Architecture people can reason about.

A strong system makes its transformations visible. Each layer has one job and a clear contract with the next.

01

Preferences

Goals, tastes, and constraints

02

Prompt system

Structured product context

03

Generation

Meals, nutrition, and shopping

04

Household

A plan ready to use
